vSphere Client does not open on any Windows operating systems with the error: parsing the server “” “clients.xml” file
Dopo il rilascio di una patch Microsoft, alcune installazioni di vSphere Client non funzionano più correttamente.
Il problema sembra essere legato ad una patch Microsoft per .NET (KB980773) e interessare qualsiasi versione di vSphere Client precedente all’Update 1 restituendo un errore di questo tipo:
Error parsing the server "<servername>" "clients.xml" file. The type initializer for VirtualInfrastructure.Utils.HttpWebRequestProxy' threw an exception.
Per risolvere il problema, VMware propone due soluzioni:
- Scaricare ed installare l’ultima versione del vSphere Client
- Rimuovere la patch Microsoft
