Xen, Linux and Hyper-V

It 'a continuous succession of news, rumors, and comments! Not long ago all terrified because Linux is going to give Xen (which continues to be developed by a thriving community of programmers, some of which are also engaged in the development of the Linux kernel) and now returns to the shadow of KVM and Hyper -V of Microsoft. Simon Crosby has published an article on the official blog of Citrix clarifier following a roundtable discussion with Brian Madden and Alessandro Perilli along with Mike Neil, Avi Kivity, and Lance Berc. This article explains the CTO of XenServer and comment on the positions on the assumption that Brian Madden Citrix will abandon Xen in favor of Hyper-V and finally points out the different positions of Xen soluzioini as compared to KVM.

It 'obvious that Simon Crosby, however, could not endorse the businesses of Brian Madden, but despite its very "corporate" I think his position is at least acceptable. First, Citrix and Microsoft (in spite of many comments on the web) continue to work and not any reason to put one against the other: however, it should be borne in mind that Microsoft sells licenses for each license TSCal XenApp, Vista sells licenses for each license XenDesktop, sells Windows Server licenses for each license XenServer. Secondly it seems to me that the price, very high, that Citrix had to pay for the acquisition of XenSource ill spouses with a strategy that disappear so important a piece of this technology.

But a good read of the comments of Simon Crosby will help you to develop your own understanding.
