A new CEO in the management of VMware
On 8 July, in a surprise move VMware has announced a major change to the highest levels: Diane Greene, co-founder of the company, giving way to newcomer Paul Maritz, who came to EMC through the acquisition of his startup (called PI) after years of working at Microsoft. On the internet many rumors are circulating about how and why this is important and unexpected change. It appears that Diane Greene was working for "decoupling" from EMC VMware, perhaps for this reason, Joe Tucci (EMC CEO) wanted to replace it quickly. The fact that Diane Greene was replaced by a stranger to VMware, suggesting that Joe Tucci does not trust too much about any of the people in key positions at VMware.
The arrival of a character from Microsoft, currently the number one enemy of VMware, seems to have generated widespread discontent and raised in VMware employees, to the point that the promises possibiilità a mass escape from society.
The result: the shares of VMware are literally collapsed with a -24.44%!
After the massive recruitment campaigns made by VMware on the whole Xen community and also with many figures in Citrix, who knows what the next move of the house in Fort Lauderdale?
