Deployment of the ICA Client using Web Interface integrated with Access Gateway Advanced 4.6

Starting with version 4.6 of the Web Interface was introduced a new system for testing and deployment of the ICA Client, which, among other things, adds support for Windows Vista. However, when the Web Interface 4.6 is Integrated with Access Gateway, testing and deployment of the ICA Client are not enabled.

To enable this feature, you must first verify that the ICA Client (ica32web.msi) is in the correct position on the file system where the Web Interface is installed (by default C: \ Program Files \ Citrix \ Web Interface \ 4.6.0 \ Clients \ ica32) as specified in CTX114097 .

Then you must edit the configuration files and some of our Web interface, as described in CTX114892 . Changing the file used to enable a key webinterface.conf not configurable via the Access Management Console, while additions of code allow the proper integration with the Access Gateway Web Interface (Standard).

If we are using the webinterface integrated with the Advanced Acces Gateway must still make a change to the code to allow the deployment of the ICA Client through the Advanced Access Control as the verification and deployment of the client usually occur during the log on the Web Interface which, in our case, is skipped in favor of integrated authentication. This is to add a few lines in the file \ App_Data \ site \ includes \ applist.inc of our site to allow the control and deployment of the client even when viewing the list of application. Everything is carefully described in CTX116559 .
