Citrix ICA Client XenApp Plugin Version 11
With the release of XenApp 5, Citrix has also released the new version of ICA client, which is now called XenApp Plugin. But the most interesting thing is that the ICA client version 11 introduces more than 60 bug fixes, including a good number of emerging issues related to authentication and connection through proxy servers and the interpretation of proxy pac.
One of the things that made me more pleasure is that even after having submitted an "enhancement request" several years ago was eventually changed the behavior of the parameter ProxyUseFQDN. By defaul fact the ICA client when connecting to Secure Gateway resolves the name and then forwards a request to the proxy CONNECT specifying the IP address. In all places where they sell used white-list or where the client can not resolve dns names, this thing was blocking. The parameter ProxyUseFQDN just serves to educate the ICA client not to resolve the name and pass the FQDN to the proxy. The problem is that until the predenente version, if the parameter is set to ON and no proxy server is configured, the client does not connect! ... And the incredible thing is that this behavior is "by design" and is also written in the documentation!
Updating the ICA client on all jobs is always a long and delicate, but I invite anyone in procindo deploy an ICA client updated to take into account the possibility of directly distribute version 11 because the correction of equipment are so many , but mostly imported.

Do you have any indication or links on how to deploy with the option Logon mode "pass-through authentication"?
And 'at least a week that I slam my head but I do not really want to know what to put as the default parameter.
Thanks
Unfortunately not. Keep in mind that it is very different if you do an upgrade rather than a new installation. Also you need the Plugin and Web Plugin and remember that from version 10 onwards should also use the adm to enable Single Signon and via NTLM, Kerberos is avian.
Hello,
Francis
Any news on the problem reported by Riccardo? I also with the plugin for Hosted Apps, the old PNAgent, I can not authenticate to the user via the passthrough! From what I see, the only way to make it work is to enable kerberos! Enable this option, however, blocks the pass-through for all clients prior to 11.0!
if not I will be forced to upgrade to solve all the client terminals to version 10 and not 11 .... leaving all 60 bugs ...
I have customers who use the pass-through authentication with the XenApp Plugin Version 11 on both Windows XP and Windows Vista.
What I can suggest is to remove all old versions of ICA clients (both standard and web), even the clean profiles (which contain the configuration files) and try to do the install by hand the full client (the web client does not support the pass-through authentication), then create a beautiful group policy is enabled both on the computer user.
