Citrix Secure Gateway version 3.1 is available

One of the strengths of XenApp (since the days when it was called MetaFrame) is always the Secure Gateway, which is the ability to establish ICA sessions encapsulated in SSL and therefore capable of passing through firewalls and proxy servers.

Citrix has long since announced it would no longer develop new functions for this component (free) in order to push the solutions based on the Access Gateway that natively include these same features.

However with the release of XenApp 5 and support for Windows Server 2008, Citrix had to issue an update for compatibility with the new Microsoft operating system.

Version 3.1 of Secure Gateway does not introduce any significant new developments so if not support for Windows Server 2008, integration of existing patches for the previous version and documentation revised and updated with new names and new icons.
