Do you remember the Citrix User Profile Manager ? Now the home of Fort Lauderdale is preparing to release the product as an additional feature of XenApp and XenDesktop.

Born sepagoPROFILE purchase of the product aims to improve the management of user profiles, optimizing the amount of data read and written to the profile. Moreover, even in case of access to more applications on different servers, this component should be able to preserve the changes of the profile occurred on each session (provided on different objects).

Now online the Citrix XenDesktop product appears in the download below and is accompanied by some interesting information. First name: the product from now on will be called Portable Profiles. It will also be distributed as additional feature with all licenses XenApp Enterprise and Platinum XenDesktop and with the Advanced, Enterprise and Platinum.

For the moment it is only available Evaluation version, but it is reasonable to assume that the product will be officially released with XenDesktop version 3, which should now see the light soon.
