VMware releases View 3.1
May intense for VMware after the official release of vSphere 4, is now the turn of View, the solution for virtual desktop, so it reaches version 3.1.
Do not miss the news, especially some highly anticipated features:
- Improvements in performance: decreased login times and load on servers
- Automatic backup of LDAP data and the database of View Composer
- Information available on the client device to the registry within the session (device name, IP address and MAC address)
- Improved logging
- New wizard for creating and editing desktop pools
- Improvements in the management of USB, with broader support for devices and a lower bandwidth consumption. It 'requires a TCP / IP stream separated
- Multimedia Redirection (MMR) for Windows Vista
- Adobe Flash Bandwidth Reduction
- Multi-Protocol Support - View Client can use the HP Remote Graphics Software (RGS) as a display protocol to connect to Blade PC or Blade Workstation HP Workstation. VMware View 3.1 supports HP RGS protocol version 5.2.5, but is not included in the product no license RGS.
Version 3.1 requires VMware View VMware Infrastructure 3 Version 3.5 Update 3 or Update 4, then again nothing vSphere 4.
