citrix New release for Provisioning Server, which it reaches version 5.1, available for XenApp (Platinum), XenDesktop (advanced version) and XenServer / Essentials.

Here are the new features introduced with version 5.1:

Standard Image Mode Teaming NIC - teaming with support for Broadcom and Intel cards on target devices
Offline VDisk Maintenance - Direct boot PVS VHD disks through Windows Virtual Server and Hyper-V
Assigned User Virtual Disks - VDisk can associate groups of users rather than to target devices
DB Offline Support - developing countries can manage the boot target device and also with the offline database
Multiple Partition vDisks - you can now create vdisk with multiple partitions (for example, C: and D:)
Server Maintenance Mode - new feature to force the failover of all target devices from a particular server to other developing countries within the same farm
Enhanced Logging - logging functionality improvements on the server and target devices
Auditing - new function to track the operations of the system administrators
Read-only storage vdisk - ability to place the VDisk file system read-only
XP Embedded Streaming - streaming support for Microsoft Windows XP Embedded

Version 5.1 is supported by both XenDesktop XenServer 5.0 Update 3 and from 3 and XenServer 5.5 (which seems imminent release).

Provisioning Server 5.1 is available for all users with active Subscription Advantage will be able to download the new version from the Internet through your account MyCitrix. The physical media, however, will not be available before June 16.
