Veeam updates its products to be compatible with vSphere 4
Here comes the first update for compatibility with vSphere 4. Veeam has updated in the last two days of its most important products: Replicator & Backup Monitor 4.0 and 3.1 (formerly Veeam Backup).
The most important is the compatibility with vSphere 4, but what about Veeam Monitor are also introduced other new features:
- Monitoring of Storage
- Hardware Monitor (via API CIM / SMASH provided by VMware)
- Process monitoring (both Windows and Linux)
- Scheduled reporting
But there is also bad news: due to a direct request from VMware, since version 3.1, Veeam Backup & Replicator does not support multiple versions of ESXi! Users who have purchased a previous version of the product may nevertheless continue to use this feature.
