VMware Chargeback 1.0 release
Still a novelty from Palo Alto. VMware has released 1.0 Chargeback solution for managing the virtual infrastructure cost centers.
With this solution, companies will be able to share the costs of the infrastructure of various departments / offices, felt a particular need in the enterprise.
VMware vCenter Chargeback 1.0 is delivered as a virtual appliance and provides interesting features:
- Support for multiple cost centers
- Support for multiple cost models
- Reporting functions and costs of Confrontation
- Support for local users or LDAP (Active Directory only)
- Support for HA
Again, the product is licensed per CPU.
