Citrix XenApp 5.0 does not yet support Windows Server 2008 R2
Nonostanteil GA release is set for Oct. 22, many partners and some customers already have access to the RTM version of Windows Server 2008 R2 with the new services now calls Terminal Services Remote Desktop.
Citrix XenApp for users but there is a compatibility problem: basically you can not install XenApp 5 on Windows Server 2008 R2 and apparently there is no workaround.
The official answer is that Citrix Windows Server 2008 R2 is not supported by the current release of XenApp 5 and will be supported in future.
In fact, you already speak a few months of Feature Pack 1 for Citrix XenApp 5, which, among many other innovations, it could also include support for the latest Microsoft home.
