How to repair the performance counter of the ICA protocol
It is not uncommon to find a server in the Event Viewer for errors related to XenApp performance counter.
Just to agiut administrators to manage this type of error, Citrix has released a new tool that can "fix" the performance counter for the ICA protocol. In particular (extracted from the document):
- icaperf 1 - Repair Only ICA Performance Monitor Counters
- icaperf 2 - Repair Only Metaframe XP Performance Monitor Counters
- icaperf 3 - Repair Only IMA Performance Monitor Counters
- icaperf 4 - Repair ALL Metaframe, ICA & IMA XP Performance Monitor Counters
Obviously these operations they affect the registry of the machine and then do a backup. Furthermore this tool is formally declared a "unsupported" and therefore should be used with extreme caution!
