Citrix XenApp release for Windows Server 2008 R2 Technical Preview
After almost 2 months from the official Windows Server 2008 R2, the Citrix XenApp Technical Preview of the Microsoft Server platform utime.
Windows Server 2008 R2 has introduced many new features: in addition to acting as a 64bit only, this new operating system brings big news from the point of terminal services, to the point that no longer called Terminal Services, but Remote Desktop Services. In fact, Microsoft is now able to also provide functions for managing physical and virtual desktops (VDI) using the same infrastructure used to access the Session Hosted on Windows Server 2008.
With the release of Feature Pack 2 for Citrix XenApp, many users have expressed doubts about strategies of the house in Fort Lauderdale that has implemented a number of interesting features in Windows Server 2003 only, neglecting the platform 2008. The new version for Windows Server 2008 R2 should be true, if not completely, at least in large part, the functionality.
