Citrix Access Gateway VPX 4.6 releases
With the release of version 4.6 of the Access Gateway Standard, we had already talked about the imminent release of a Virtual Appliance. After a long gestation period than 9 months has created the Access Gateway VPX.
As anticipated in May, the Access Gateway VPX is a virtual machine for Citrix XenServer based on version 4.6.2 firmware. In fact this virtual appliance has been used extensively by a number of beta testers for several months, without giving any particular problems, nor even less functional and performance.
The decision to create a virtual appliance for Citrix XenServer can only seem risky, but it is an excellent tool to encourage customers to try the least of the parent hypervisor, although the availability of a beta for NetScaler VPX makes for VMware future portends interesting developments.
To download the virtual appliance, you must have a user MyCitrix. Once started, the Access Gateway VPX requires a preliminary configuration and installation of a license in a similar way to hardware appliances AG20x0.
