Citrix XenApp 6 for Windows 2008 R2 available by March 24!
After several months of TechPreview finally arrives XenApp 6, the new version of its flagship product, Citrix, completely rewritten for Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit native. Simultaneously with the new release, Citrix will release a new Hotfix Rollup Pack / Feature Pack for XenApp 5.
The new version of product brings with it a host of innovations, the result of an overall re-engineering of the product that has optimized the code and further increase the scalability.
Among the changes, include the new management console, AppCenter, and more integrated support for Powershell 2.0, the introduction of roles delconcetto, already present in Windows Server 2008, Citrix Management Policy through GPO, the integrazone with Microsoft App-V and more.
Stay in the changed licensing model for concurrent user (unlike XenDesktop). The new version will be diponibile RTW by 24 March 2010.
