VMware View 4.0 and vSphere 4.1: Composer 2.0.x is not supported yet
The release of vSphere 4.1 has brought great enthusiasm and download count shows a willingness to try the new product as soon as possible. However, an incompatibility between the new vSphere Composer 2.0.x and could delay the installation ...
One of the features of the new vSphere 4.1 is the new vCenter Server, which in its latest incarnation is entirely 64-bit. Unfortunately, VMware View Composer does not support 64-bit operating systems and therefore can not be installed on the vCenter Server 4.1.
As explained in KB 1011292, 4.0.x users who use VMware View Composer will you wait for the next release (View 4.5) which will introduce, among other things support for vSphere 4.1.
