Translation Web Interface

April 5, 2011

The Italian market for Citrix is too small to provide for the translation of the ICA Client or any other component of the suite. Fortunately, the Web Interface, starting with version 4, has multilanguage architecture that can be easily extended by introducing support for other languages.

The first complete translation of the Web Interface in Italian is my belief: it was actually the NFuse version 1.6! It was a partial translation, but it included the most common strings. It was a simple text file called nfuse.txt and was copied into the% SYSTEMROOT% \ javatrustlib, replacing the original file in English. All error messages, however, were contained in the file properties and had not been translated. The time stamp of the file goes back to December 2001, but the translation is probably even earlier!

As for the Web Interface 4.0, the first Italian translation has been released by Vivid Systems .
I worked for several years with an association founded to promote the on-line translation of freeware, shareware, and commercial and I must say that the translation of the Web Interface, despite the enormous effort, I really liked (matter of taste personal). So I started to re-translate everything from version 4.2.

Below you can find links to the pages of Italian translations of the different versions that I edited:
