Eliot was the second computer I got. Actually I already had an A3000 before it, but I sold it because of all the problem I was facing to make it work properly.
Eliot was originally an A4000/030 and he was supposed to be not fully working: from time to time he was giving black screens (completly hopeless even for tracking the problem). This is why I bought it: he was very cheap!
After few tests I decided to apply a very easy procedure before taking him to the repair center: CLEANING. Yes, actually I solved all the problems cleaning the Fast Slot.....
Eliot came with a Super Buster rev. 11 :-), no need to replace it. So the first add on I bought was an A3640, rev. 3.1. Wonderful! Even with a 68040/25Mhz I wasn't really using this computer because I hadn't neither a proper SCSI controller nor a proper graphic card with flicke fixer/scan doubler.
I Decided to move to the A4000 only when I bought the WarpEngine, because I couldn't resist the SCSI II onboard controller with his speed! It changed my life, even when running a 68040/40Mhz!
Now I've installed a CyberStorm MK2 with a 68060 @ 50 Mhz and it work very smoothly...
Following improvements were a CyberVision 64, then a Picasso IV and eventually a PPC board. You can read the actual configuration above....
